Essie trying green bean for the first time: FAILURE! :)
My mom, Esther, and I took a road trip down to SLC last weekend. My Aunt Kristen was unable to come up to see us because of complications with her pregnancy, so we went to visit her. We had lovely time despite the unusually cold and rainy weather. It didn't stop us from going to the farmer's market on Saturday though. It would have been more fun if it hadn't been raining, but it was still nice. After that we went to the Salt Lake Roasting Co. of course. Still one of my favorite places in Salt Lake. It always smells so heavenly there (they roast their coffee on site). Mmmm...
Mom, Essie, and Dilan at Salt Lake Roasting Company. Wow, Dilan is smiling AND looking at the camera. :)
Making dough for potato pizza (SO yummy!).
Gabe, practising being the big brother of a little girl. He was so good with her. It was fun to have Esther around since they'll be adding a little baby girl to their family around Christmas time. Even Uncle Aaron got to practice, he watched Esther while Dick (Aaron's dad), my mom, Kristen, Grammy, and I went to see Julie and Julia. Loved it! ...again...
Mom, playing with Essie and Dilan while Kristen and I went out for some girl time. We went to IKEA, which I loved (never been there before), and the Training Table for lunch (a Utah original). Yummy cheese fries.

On Sunday morning we went to "brunch" (at 9am, so it was early-bird brunch) at the Market Street Grill (the restaurant my parents were working at when they met, only different location). It was wonderful. I had the Steak and eggs, and they served it with a half tomato covored in melted parmesan, and fresh sqeezed OJ. YUM! Oh, and I got to ride in Uncle Peter's sweet new little BMW. It's pretty nice!

That afternoon we had a b-day party for my Uncle Paul, so I got to see more family. My cousin Kelley, her husband Barry, and their daughter Belle came early to visit. They wanted to see Esther, since they hadn't yet. I hadn't seen Belle since Christmas and she had changed so much. She was absolutely beautiful, and so sweet.
All in all, a wonderful weekend. :)
